A Fine Finish (specialty binding technqiues)
Confident beginner level; 2 days, 12 hours instruction

A special quilt or project often calls for a little different binding treatment. Juried quilt competitions the world over see more and more entries with that additional finish. These elevated entries catch the viewer’s eye and are not missed by the judges. Take your finishing skills and techniques to another level as you work on several easy and effective binding treatments for your technique library.
Part 1:
  • Double Fold Binding by Machine (2 methods)
  • Couched detail
  • Facing Finish
Part 2:
  • Scalloped Piped Binding
  • Faux Piped Binding
  • Beaded Piped Binding
Upcoming Workshop:
Black Gold Quilt Patch Guild, Leduc, Alberta, April 4 & 5, 2025 (in-person only)
Irish Patchwork Society, Limerick, Ireland, July 26 & 27, 2025 (in-person only)
