Grow New Skills

Country Register Article #4 (May/June 2026)
I’m delighted to share my latest Growing New Skills article, featured in the Alberta and BC Country Register, where I explore the joy of stretching our creative boundaries and continuing to evolve as makers. In this piece, I reflect on how trying something new—no matter how small—can reignite inspiration and deepen our connection to the art of quilting.

Quilt Canada 2024 Viewer’s Choice!
I am so proud of my good friend, Kathy Strawson!

Kathy’s original design “Speak Bee To Me” quilt was expertly hand pieced using many, many unique 3” hexagons in a spiral-radiating design, with a fused collage-technique bee in the center.

Kathy’s workmanship also brought her the well-deserved award for Excellence in Hand Piecing!

It was truly an honour to work with Kathy to provide the detailed custom quilting to this show-stopper.

Congratulations my friend!!
