1 hour “Our lives are defined by the opportunities presented to us, even those we miss”. Enjoy an amazing and inspiring story of opportunity and the journey of the Share Jane Quilt project. Inspired by the original quilt made in 1863 by Jane A. Stickle, this quilt began with a simple idea between friends to make a quilt together. The project soon blossomed into a global, collaborative quilt project coordinated by Jeltje van Essen (Deventer, The Netherlands) and Kim Caskey (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). Share Jane received worldwide attention within the quilting industry including generous support from Moda Fabrics, Aurifill Threads, 100 Rosen Quilt Shop, Earthly Goods Quilting and 277 volunteer block makers from around the world. |
